Goat milk production in Brazil has improved since the
1990s, and it is considered an important animal product to
be exploited as a commodity. Despite this development,
the goat milk industry in Brazil is still characterized by
small scale farmers, with low daily production (around
80 L) that complicate the logistics of the dairy industry
in terms of planning a proper routine for collection and
