In present study 237 samples of breakfast cereal products were
analysed and the incidence and occurrence level of AFB1 and total
AFs are presented in Table 2. The results have shown that 41% samples
were positive (AFs P LOD) and 16% and 8% samples have
found to be above the EU maximum content for AFB1 (2 lg/kg)
and total AFs (4 lg/kg), respectively. However, the highest mean
level of AFB1 and total AFs were found in semolina i.e. 3.60 ± 1.10
and 4.55 ± 1.40 lg/kg, respectively
