DiscussionThe effect of manual lymph drainage on acute pain was assessed before and for up to 10 days after patients in this random underwent a knee arthroplasty in Japan. Key results warrant further discussion based on our findings. Our data do not show that manual lymph drainage interventions approximately 10 days after surgery in addition to standard physical therapy reduce pain intensity. Additionally, the secondary endpoints of the rang of motion, muscle strength, circumference, walking speed and walking rate did not show significant differences between the groups.
