Despite the availability of accessible voting machine, visually impaired voters have not been able to vote privately or independently without assistance because of the complicated audio voting setup process and the complex use of audio voting [4, 14]. From Runyan’s voting experience with accessible voting system in real-world elections [14], poll workers who were not familiar with technology often failed to get the audio assist features working, requiring voters to have human assistance. In addition, audio voting with the current system is too complex to use, resulting significantly longer completion time for casting a ballot compared to sighted voters (31minutes vs. 5 minutes, respectively)
