But Yahweh is one Person, not three, and He definitely has a name. Yet for all intents and purposes, that Name has been obliterated in Christendom. Most Christians do not know who Yahweh is, though they have probably heard of “Jehovah,” an inaccurate form of the Name, which they associate with a religious sect called the Jehovah’s Witnesses, leaving them with negative feelings towards the name “Jehovah” and by extension “Yahweh”. The name Yahweh has been tossed out (except in academia) despite the fact that it occurs on almost every page of the Hebrew Bible (which Christians call the “Old Testament”)—in fact six or seven times per page on average.
