Participated as a member of the RFS in 2012. Before I was a member of the RFS I had organic farming system for many years. I have joined the project of province with 3 my friend. The project of province support for organic agriculture but don't buy yield. The yield will be sold to General Mills. The owner of the mill will be the price yield. Farmers who sell rice yield can't know the quality of their own and can’t chaffer because of the mill owners will not buy yield. How much it will be sold. After participated as a member of the RFS I feel we do not grow rice for sale only because RFS are activities that educate farmers and farmers have the opportunity to comment. And activities in and outside the areas for farmers to develop their own areas. Farmers can know the process of selling their products. It is important that farmers get to know the quality of their each year. And know that to develop guidelines which of these processes are different from General Mills.
Since I'm a member of the RFS This year, 5-year anniversary. I have seen change of self and people in the community. Change of self is transformation of the economy of the family. Can sell yield to a sustainable market and transparent with the farmer. As well as bringing new knowledge and techniques to develop the area to be a source of learning for the community. The community is that people in the community see the importance and interest to organic farming. And can increase more community members. Including activities in the community about the development of organic farming. And more importantly, the people in the community can transfer the knowledge to others.
