VI. PSYCHOSEXUAL INTEGRATION AND CELIBATE CHASTITY
CHASTITY
Whether married or single, all are called to be chaste. To be chaste means to do what is sexually responsible according to each person's state of life. Chastity is the manner in which a person lives his or her sexuality. As Moloney (1986) observed, "a chaste person is one who has a healthy, holy, loving and God-directed attitude to the gift of one's own and others' sexuality" (p. 76.)
