treated with M. chamomilla EO plus L3 larvae of Anisakis type 1
showed gastric lesions versus 93.3%
±
3.9 of controls treated with
larvae alone; although only 23.9%
±
5.6 of larvae were dead, the
effect of the EO may be explained not only by a larvicidal effect
but also by an EO-induced reduction in the L3 infective capacity.
Although the percentage of animals with lesions was higher
(5.5%
±
3.2) with -bisabolol than with the EO, it was considerably
lower in both groups treated than in controls.
