This is my honest opinion and I'm probably going to get hate for it but I can't help but see things this way. I think all the hype for iKON wasn't good. I was so excited for them! They're my style, I've loved WIN and Mix and Match, I love the boys and then...I watched the MV's. While I liked the songs I couldn't help but feel...disappointed? I don't even know if that's the right word, but I was left feeling like something was missing or like I was waiting for something just more. I think I've finally figured out why this is and it has to do with all the damn hype. When you don't know what to expect, it's easier for someone to blow you away, rather than going in expecting the world (or some BigBang next level realness) from a rookie group who's just debuted. The songs were good, they just weren't anything you couldn't expect from another talented rookie group and I think most of us were expecting something next level. I think maybe my expectations of them were those I would hold for an already established group, forgetting that iKON are still growing and figuring out their sound just like anyone else. I hope people continue to give them a chance and let them find their footing. I really hope they stop with the Double B bias and let some of the other members shine too. Still here for iKON, but I'm sad I wasn't blown away like I wanted to be...
