A teen escaped from police custody by tricking a rookie cop into letting him use the bathroom — and instead slipping out a back door to freedom, sources said.
Rhamar Perkins, 16, was dragged down to Transit District 32 headquarters on Carroll Street in Crown Heights after cops saw him jump the turnstile at the Rockaway Parkway station in Brownsville on Monday evening.
But as the cops were processing the arrest, the boy was left alone with a rookie cop, who granted his request to use the bathroom, according to a source.
That’s when Perkins made a run for it from a rear door.
It was unclear if he was wearing handcuffs when he escaped.
His freedom lasted only a few hours.
Perkins quickly decided to turn himself in later that evening at the 75th Precinct in East New York.
He was charged with escaping police custody and theft of services.
