6.2 THE RIGHT TO WORK
If work is necessary to secure such central primary goods as food, clothing, and shelter, a right to work might seem an obvious candidate for being a moral right. There are indeed many who do argue that all people should have a right to work, including most of the human fulfillment school who see work as an essential part of human well-being. As a first step in evaluating this potential right, let us consider various understandings of the right to work.
