Table 3 presents estimates of the willingness-to-pay for each
of the attributes per dose. The number for each attribute represents
the dollar value to the respondent of switching the product
attribute from less attractive to more attractive. We found that
participants were willing to pay approximately five dollars for the
absence of thimerosal, a low contamination risk, and low dosing
errors. Participants were willing to pay less than two dollars for
speed, a small storage space, and a small number of steps. Participants
who worked in a setting that saw children were willing to
pay $5.76 for the absence of thimerosal, compared to those in a
setting that saw adults who were willing to pay $3.29 for the same
attribute.
