BANGKOK, 16 July 2012 – According to a poll, most people agree with the Constitution Court’s decision to allow constitution amendment if revisions are made on an individual section basis.

The ABAC Poll, conducted by the Assumption University, which surveyed over 1,700 people across the country during July 13-14 on their opinions on the Constitution Court’s decision on the constitution amendments revealed that over 60 percent of the respondents accepted the court’s decision.

The Constitution Court on Friday rejected the attempts to rewrite the constitution without a public referendum, but allowed revision by section.

Meanwhile, around 57 percent were happy after hearing the verdict; they cited the decision was sound and wiould not create political problems.

When asked which direction should the country move towards, nearly three-fourths of them said all citizens should stop distinguishing colors.
