There were special offers in all the supermarkets. Some things were on sale at reduced prices or with free gifts. Many of these offers were very tempting and shoppers very often took advantage of them. However, the shoppers sometimes later regretted buying them because they were not really needed and were a waste of money. In addition, nearly all the shoppers automatically assumed that when they bought more of a product in a bigger container, they would save money. This is almost always true, but there are times when it is not. As a result, a few shoppers always carry calculators around with them to make sure that they pay the lowest price for the products they buy.
The majority of shoppers agreed that it is best to write down the things you need the containers before you go shopping. They said you should not be tempted by bargains, free gifts or large unless you are absolutely sure that you need them.
