Table 3 showed the average values of apparent nutrient digestibility
for the whole period (week 1, 4 and 8), statistics on the main effects of
oxygen, diet and their interaction, and finally statistics on time effects.
The results showed that ADC of dry matter, crude protein, ash and carbohydrate were higher in normoxia than in hypoxia (p b 0.05). Diet
also influenced the ADC of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein
and crude fat with better results being achieved with the “Test” diet.
However, no significant interaction between oxygen and diet composition on digestibility could be found during the experimental period
(p N 0.05).
