We will be in Chiang Mai Jan 6-13. While there we want to do a full medical check up & dental cleaning & exam. First we want to experience for ourselves the health services in Thailand & it looks like it costs significantly less than in the US.
We'll be in Thailand for about a month but from my research, medical check ups are less expensive in Chiang Mai than other cities we'll be visiting (Bangkok, Hua Hin) & the services seem really good.
After researching it a bit, so far we're thinking of going to McCormick for the check ups. My questions are:
1. do we need to make appointments?
2. my understanding is about 90 minutes for all the tests & we get the results a few hours later. Does that sound right?
3. We were going to use Dental 4 You but since there's a dental clinic at McCormick maybe we should just do it there while we wait for our results. Sounds like a good idea?
4. Can we just show up at McCormick Dental clinic for cleaning/exam without an appointment?
5. We're thinking of doing this the 2nd day after we arrive & we'll do the premium check up packages. If we're not totally recovered from jet lag would that mess up the tests providing we follow the instructions to prepare (8 hours fast, no alcohol for 72 hours,...) I'm not expecting medical advice here, just trying to find out if others have had experience with this before.
I've sent an email to the Hospital but have not received a response yet. I appreciate if you could share your experience & any tips you can give us.
