It can be seen from he peak profiles that the characteristic peaks for (013) and (103) at 2h c 32j are strongly affected attributable to texturing and c-axis orientation of grown crystals. This texturing and the preferred orientation of high temperature superconductors are well known to increase the current carrying capacity ( Jc) [2 – 5]. Adding TiO2 in Y123 changes the peak intensities, as shown in Fig. 3b. The highest peak intensity was found to be at 2h = 47j (4500 cps) for the sample containing 3 wt.% TiO2. The highest peak position has changed comparing TiO2-free Y123 sample (Fig. 3a). The 7 and 10 wt.% TiO2-doped samples reveal the peak profile for Y123 with reduced intensity ( f 1000 cps) because of reduced size of crystals (see Fig. 3c – d) [16].
