When a student is selected to represent the school at a competitive event, we carefully consider the full picture of the student before approval is granted. If a student is not meeting the standards of behavior expected at school, we do not believe they should be allowed to represent the school until the student hasproved themselves capable of modifying their behaviour accordingly. It would be inappropriate, and indeed unfair, for a student who is not meeting the expected standards to be chosen as a school representative over other students who are. Representing the school is, after all, ambassadorial by nature and a privilege
