This study used the Korean Anger Expression Inventory revised by Chon (1996) and originally developed from the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI; Spielberger, 1988). The STAXI consisted of the State Anger, Trait Anger, and Anger Expression scales. For the Korean Anger Expression Inventory, Chon developed a Korean STAXI, applied it to 811 Korean college students, and examined its reliability and validity. A series of factor analyses also revealed that factor structures of the Korean STAXI look very similar to the original English STAXI, except for 2 out of 44 items. These 2 items were placed under difierentfactors one item moved from anger-out to anger- in and the other from anger-in to anger control. Most subscales of the Korean STAXI are significantly associated with cardiovascular symptoms, which correspond to symptoms of Hwa-Byung or Korean anger syndrome
