3.1. Thermal scheme
Biogas plants are treated with heat that enhances the gas
production and results in low amount of slurry [40]. Plant is most
commonly treated with temperature range from 60 to 180 °C.
Biogas production efficiency can be improved by applying
70 °C after each 9 h by means of thermophilic digestion of slurry
[41]. Microthermal treatment is also used to increase the biogas
production by providing temperature up to 170 °C [42].
