The Ajaccio calibration site, because of its location
under the track 130, is dedicated to the Envisat mission.
Nevertheless, as it was previously presented, there is a large
gap of one year and a half in the tide gauge time series, due
to bad quality measurements. This gap corresponds to the
Envisat cycles 66 to 82. Because there is only one instrument
at the Ajaccio site, it is not possible to estimate the
Envisat absolute bias at this calibration site during this period.
The regional calibration method allows computing the
Envisat bias at the Senetosa site, which is consequently of
high interest to keep on monitoring the quality of the satellite
mission products.
