Work integrated learning necessarily involves managing any difficulties that arise through the differing expectations, organization mandates, and legal and professional responsibilities held by students, university academics, workplace learning guides organization and their with difficulties by taking a reactive approach responding only to issues as they arise. Alternatively, they can be strategic, taking a proactive approach that includes naming risk, foreseeing difficulties and developing effective strategies to manage them.
