The characteristic temperatures of the europium–tellurite samples
such as glass transition, Tg and the crystallization peaks, TC, were
observed by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) thermograms
shown in Fig.4.
The thermal characteristics extracted from these DSC curves can
be reported as follows:the increase of europium ions contentin the
matrix network modifies Tg and Tc samples. Partial replacement of
Te–O bonds by Eu–O ionic bonds induces a global weak ening of the
network [37] explaining the Tg decreases from 320 to 290 1C.
By increasing of the Eu(NO3)3 content up to 19 mol%, in the
domain between 380 and 395 1C exist strong peaks of crystal-
lization process occurring in the samples.Then,the fact that
the crystallization temperatures decrease with an increase of europiumions,reflects fact that the driving force for crystal-
lization is stronger in a latter sample
