Depending on the comparative sampling frequencies,
there may or may not be a signifi cant difference in
frequency response. For example, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz
sound almost alike, as do 88.2 kHz and 96 kHz. But
the difference between 48 kHz and 96 kHz is dramatic.
Among other things, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz do not have
the transparent response of the higher sampling rates.
