Thousands of New Yorkers recently lined up to drop their pants en masse on the subway. Participants in the “10th annual No Pants Subway Ride” event braved the cold together at six different meetings points throughout New York City. Each participants was designated a car on a train and a stop to drop their pants leaving only their underwear. Participants were encouraged to stay calm and act as normally as possible, doing whatever they would do on their regular subway ride: such as reading book or chatting with friends. Regular commuters were caught with their trousers down by the pant-less riders and some were bold enough to snap pictures. The event ended in Union Square where the pants-less had a final gathering with friends and fellow participants. The “No Pants Subway Ride” first started with seven people in 2002 in New York city, and has grown into an international event. This year, people from fifty different cities across the globe will take off their pants during their subway commutes.
