The teaching sequence was based on teachers practivces and reflects a series of difficulties in their everyday lives in biology classrooms. The teaching sequence aims to improve student's learning on the subject and its implemented and evaluated using principles and procedures in order to promote a better understanding of energetic metabolism and in connection with studen's everyday lives, interconnection of biology with chemistry and physics, better comprehension of technical vocabulary, comprehension of its role as a vital process for the planet and its biotecnological applications
