The total feed-forward flow of goods in a
logistic chain is managed by (1) planning and
control of the intra-organizational (logistic) processes
at each stage in the logistic chain, (2)
planning and control of the inter-organizational
logistic processes as a connection between two or
more stages in the logistic chain (see Fig. 1), and
(3) adjustment of the intra- and inter-organizational
processes to each other in order to increase
the performance of the total logistic chain
