Commercial shrimp shell chitosan, with a minimum deacetylation
degree of 90% was purchased from Mahatani Chitosan Pvt.
Ltd. (Veraval, India). To prepare chitosan (2 g/100 ml) solution, 20 g
chitosan was mixed with 1000 ml of distilled water and stirred for
10 min at 60 C, and then 10 ml of glacial acetic acid were added to
the mixture which was then stirred for 1 h.
