In order to classify school administrators into one of three-burnout levels as high, medium
and low; the cut off points were defined with respect to the highest and lowest point one can
receive from the sub-scales. Scores obtained from nine item Emotional Burnout Subscale was
considered low between 9 and 18, normal between 19 and 27, and high between 28 and 45. For
MBI’s subscales five item Depersonalization was considered low between 5 and 10, normal
between 11 and 15, and high between 16 and 25. Scores obtained from eight-item Personal
Accomplishment subscale considered low between 8 and 16, normal between 17 and 24, and
high between 25 and 40. In Table 2 the number and percentage of school administrators for each
subscale are provided.
