Samples were collected from the apical two, fully developedleaves and their chlorophyll a and b (chl a and chl b) contents wermeasured using spectrophotometric method described by Felföldy(1987). According to this method absorbances of the preparedsamples were measured at 653, 666, and 750 nm and chlorophyll a and b contents were calculated using the following equationsafter correction with the value measured at 750 nm:
