The theme that there are parallels between the artistic person and the entrepreneur is not inconsistent with what is evident in the entrepreneurial process. The entrepreneur acquires a vision of her own invention, innovation or new concept and is “driven” to see it fulfilled, even as a painter goes through the through the same process. But the artist, upon completing the masterpiece, goes on to create others—a multiplicity of enterprises perhaps in the same manner that Richard Branson of the Virgin Group of companies assembles companies. Most, however, paint on one canvas which becomes their long-term passion.
