1.INFORMATION
1.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF EXERCISE
Being a combining module between two manufacturing line,the Linear Conveyor has to fulfil three different tasks:
-transportation of workpieces from manufacturing line 1 to line 2
-sorting of workpieces over all three tracks
-buffering of parts
Because of this special importance, the Linear conveyor is working together with two robots as a link between two manufacturing lines.
Also on this module, the material flow is determined by the worpiece applied:
Simulated Workpieces (cubes and/or cylinders)
Simulated Workpieces (cubes and/or cylinders)
The robot of the manufacturing line 1 is placing aluminium parts on track 1 (left track = view on the shunt) to the end of the tracks.
White part are placed on the middle track into the shunt and are moved to track 3 (right track),after that, the parts are transported to the end of the tracks.
Now the robot of manufacturing line 2 is able to pick the assorted parts from the belt.
Real Workpieces (continuity- and/or voltage testers)
The robot of line 1 is placing black bodies (for voltage testers) on track 1 (left track = view on the shunt in the foreground, sensors in the bsckground). The belt is transporting them directly (without shunt) to the end of the tracks.
White parts (for continuity testers) are placed on the middle track into the shunt and are moved to track 3 (right track), after that,the parts are transported to the end of the tracks.
Now the robot of manufacturing line 2 is able to pick the assorted parts from the belt.
Because of the condition of the used workpieces, as well as reasons of construction, this module is standardized to be connected to industrial robots only
