Once you’re pregnant, you will start counting the days or thinking of the week that you will (or might) finally meet someone who’s been living inside you, eat from you, sleep with you (Though mom sleeps and baby is partying), that kicks and hiccups, that “ouch, she just kicked my ribs!” that special person who when you look into mirror you realize that your body is no longer yours and your heart is already belong to them. Week 40 marked as the full-term of pregnancy. Some women gave birth to their precious little ones earlier between week 38-39. I thought mine was going to be like so, high expectation was there and once I’m about to reach “Week 40” tomorrow, I started to feel disappointed and tired of being pregant already. That day we went out to Jeddah and I was walking finely in the Mall and showing no sign of Pre-labour. Oh well. She’s coming … Be patient, she’ll come when she’s ready and when my body is ready. That afternoon I had appointment with my OB-GYN doctor and she said she will check if I have dilated. Nobody told me that it was going to be so shocking and little painful! Who said pregnancy is beautiful! Body changes, hormonal changes, organs movements in order to make another human lives! SubhanAllah, I get emotional sometimes when I think of how we’re all beautifully made by the Will of God in the woman’s body. Okay, back to dilation. She checked and said that my cervix still close. I was:/ and went back home with my husband who kept telling me not to be upset cus she’ll come soon. He’s my great comforter awww <3 How did the night happened… Couple weeks before labour, body starts preparing body to be ready for labour. My sign was Braxton Hicks which is similar to period cramps when your amazing uterus just squeeze but it was not regular.. Wasn’t too painful for me in fact, I love it when I feel something going on becus! I rarely have any symptoms when I had period! And another reason is that “Arkk cramp, that means she’s coming :)” .. My husband is an all-nighter and he was watching a movie while I was sleeping next to him but on the other couch. Then 3:20am. I felt a gush of liquid were coming out and couldn’t control. I was calm at first and then told him that “She’s coming!!!” I knew how it would be like so, I wasn’t panicked at all plus no contraction (yet). But Hub! He started to be worried and I could tell from his face how he felt. He didn’t rush to make 911 call which is what he practiced everynight since week 38 and that shows how he was stunted when I told him “She is really coming and we’re going to finally meet her in 12-24 hours, InshaAllah” Me dialing 911 : “Hello, I’m 40 weeks pregnant and I think she’s coming soon cus my water just broke” Honestly, this is how I want my pre-labour to be like though most of women experience pre-labour with constant contraction. There’s no pain at first if the water breaks. So Duhh! I was packing my bags and ready to leave like I was going shopping for clothes! 911 : *asking my details and pick up point* Okay Ma’am, we’re coming in 10 minutes. I went upstairs to tell my mom and cousins (who spent the night for weekend) that we’re heading to hospital and they can follow around noon time tmrw since labour will at least in 12 hrs. 911 arrived and I walked to the ER car comfortably. We arrived at KMC (KAUST Medical Clinic) first in order to check myself and if I should be sending to Dr.Sulaiman Fakeeh Hospital already. The nurses check if the water is positive for the Amniotic fluid and was waiting for my doctor to come at around 4:30am. Again! What I hated the most was checking the dilation
