• Responsible for the day to day management of staff working in the Department.
• Analyze and respond to guest feedback, guest satisfaction and Associate satisfaction information; and give a positive commitment to continuous improvement of product and performance.
• Coordination of all aspects of the departments operation to ensure that the services of the Department are delivered to guests or internal customers with the aim of exceeding guest expectations.
• Ensure all food and beverage items served to guests are of the highest standard, and presentation is as per Hotel standards.
• To personally have a thorough understanding of the hotel and its operations, and communicate this to staff. Also have a full knowledge of the Venue operations and roles therein.
• Supervise and maintain excellent telephone etiquette amongst In Room Dining associates, liaising with Star Service and other departments, using a courteous telephone manner at all times, having full knowledge of In Room Dining Menus, and availability of food and beverage items. Understand principal cooking methods, and be aware of daily specials, wines and basic ingredients and preparation / delivery time of menu items.
• Attend relevant meetings and distribute information to staff.
• Administer manpower reports.
• Ensure rosters are produced according to Labor Regulations and Hotel policy, and displayed in a prominent location for staff.
• Control all guest amenities and services, supervising the processing & charging of guest accounts.
• Assign associates to assist other venues if necessary.
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize absenteeism and to manage occupational health & safety issues.
