These types of questions encourage children to reflect on who they are as
well as uncovering interesting facts which reveals feelings, emotions and
aspirations. As dance teachers, we may ask ourselves:
What do I know about this child?
What do I want to know about this child?
What goals do I have for this child?
Answering these types of questions can give direction to our upcoming
observations. Ultimately, nothing can offer us more “roadside assistance”
than simply spending quality time with children. By doing so we will build
strong relationships and get that perfect seat for looking out the window
