3. Results and discussions
3.1. Surface area and pore size
The synthesized TiO2–SiO2 pellets were analysed for their
surface areas, total pore volume and pore size distribution using
gas adsorption principles. The primary objective was to generate
the catalyst particles that have the highest surface area,
and are the most porous. The synthesized samples had a surface
area in the range of 274.1–421.1m2/g (Table 1), in contrast to the
