The parents/legal guardians of patients, aged 5
to 7 years, who are scheduled to have one or more primary teeth extracted for dental caries under general anaesthesia (GA), relative analgesia (RA; inhalation
sedation) or local anaesthesia (LA) will be advised by the
clinic dental nurse or dentist that a trial is being conducted in the centre and that their child and family are
eligible to be considered for recruitment
