Blind Spot in Thailand Education
Hello,
Today, after reading the article “Blind Spot in Thailand Education” I would conclude that Thailand education if compare with the human, it can be treated like the patience in coma condition. All the Thai people should join hand-in-hand to cure and rescue the life. If keeping on like this, the people may survive in person but the country dies because the new generation will become dumber and dumber even though they are born clever but when they are bound to the educational system, they become even dumper. I notice that many sections have try to help and cure the education system of the country, but I guess most of it will come up with less success or even fail. This could be because majority of the activities are about “interim activities” without any direct effect to the learning outcome of the students. We waste time and resources for those unimportant or unnecessary activities and are not the main factors to have satisfactory Learning Outcome. Imagine if the target is wrong but we aim and shoot right to the target, getting good mark from the shot, but the target is wrong from the beginning, the result is the entire operations collapse. This is the condition that I define our education system and what it unknowingly confront.
I agree with the article. From my several years of teaching experience, I feel that we take the wrong direction and lost. Even though there are so many plan and policy to adjust the education management system in all aspects, but we are actually unable to uplift the quality of education and the teachers are tire of the wrong direction of education policy and its adjustment. This could be the right time that we seriously reconsider and plan for the clear and appropriate target leading to help solve the country’s crisis.
