The SNP marker information was used for grouping
the accessions that were potentially resistant to CMD, along with elite varieties with high yield potential,
starch quality, appropriate plant size for the mechanized
cultivation system, and resistance to foliar diseases, such
as anthracnose and bacteriosis. This grouping aims to
identify the most contrasting parental combinations that
will generate segregating populations for the development
of domestic varieties with the above agronomic
characteristics.
