In the nutshells, Balanced Scorecard approach has become
commonly used as one of the most sufficient business tools
obtainable in the era of business firms. Many academic
institutions over the world have been successful in adopting the
Balanced Scorecard throughout the four perspectives aligned
with university’s missions, policies and goals. Nevertheless,
Higher Education in Malaysia as a case study shown that the
majority of institutions has not yet implemented the Balanced
Scorecard to measure their performance in entire university.
Therefore, a proper framework is effectively guided for those
academic institutions in Malaysia in order to overcome the BSC
implementation and achieve the performance measurement.
