Looking to give and receive the occasional act of kindness. It is probably far too much to ask.
Few find me of interest, even if those wanting to improve their English skills. I must be fairly horrible, when someone on this site that says she is a nun refuses an offer of help with English. You might enjoy my photographs, however. And if you want to write to improve your English, maybe we have enough in common that we can correspond.
I am not modern in my outlook or interests. I might be a better fit for pre-1950's society.
If you wish to improve your English language skills, I will and can help. But please be serious. Learning requires work and commitment. Please pass me by if you expect to become an English expert with one exchange.
The album Assortment 2 has a picture of the crusty me.
I like creative women that appreciate the arts: dancers, painters and sculptors, players of classical music, writers and photographers, potters and chefs, for example. They are good for the mind and the soul.
I have been a magazine writer and editor, a teacher at several levels, a corporate manager, a cook (not a chef), a consultant and an author. I know a little about a few things, including writing, public relations, organizational communication and advertising. The sample of photographs I have posted here a little of what I think is beautiful or interesting in this world.
I have lived throughout the United States and eastern Canada.
My previous profile was probably the most detailed on this site, but few read it.
I like films with strong plots and actors that can act. My musical tastes are not mainstream: old jazz and swing; the classical music of Europe, especially the Romantic Period; certain film scores; old music from Japan, Cuba, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil, (bossa nova (no longer new), sambas and tangoes and some other types of music, none of which would be considered popular by the majority of the world.
