Guts is able to identify both upper and lowercase letters, from H-M,
Independently. He is developing his skills at identifying letters given their phonetic sounds and recalling phonetic sounds independently. Guts is capable of forming simple phrases and sentences and enjoys communicating with his classmates and me in English.
Guts can say the number sequence by 1s, forward from 1 to 50 and backwards from 5 to 0 independently. Guts demonstrates an understanding of addition with answers adding up to 5. He enjoys participating in the weather chart activity and can identify all the weather types.
Guts show a strong understanding of the basic body parts and is able to identify them when asked. He is developing his ability to recognize and name the five senses. Guts can classify and sort objects based on their corresponding sense with some assistance from myself.
Guts is a wonderful student in the classroom. He is respectful towards both myself and the other students. He frequently shows excellent character and helps the other students when they do not understand activities or instructions. At times I need to remind Guts not to speak out of turn and am encouraging him to be a leader in the class.
