Summary
This review of the literature has summarized the development and expansion of
CAI in today's schools. It has also discussed the limited utility of the current body of
educational research for those wishing to study the comparative effectiveness of CAI for
teaching mathematics to high school students with SLD. Finally, this review has
examined the attitudes of teachers and their students toward the use of computers in the
classroom. It is upon this foundation that the study methodology and analysis can be built
and against which the results of this study can be compared.
