Nation Multimedia Group's nine-month consolidated revenue increased 13 per cent to Bt2.35 billion on improving advertising income.
Its net profit surged 58 per cent to Bt81.4 million in the period.
Duangkamol Chotana, chief executive officer of NMG, said last week that ad revenue from the company's two terrestrial digital TV stations - Nation TV and NOW 26 - helped drive profit up sharply.
The economy has also shown signs of recovery after the slowdown over the past two years.
Ad revenue was expected to continue growing this quarter, as businesses spend heavily on marketing campaigns in response to people's spending mood during the festive season.
For the third quarter alone, NMG posted consolidated revenue of Bt802.1 million, up 4 per cent year on year.
Its net profit was Bt31.3 million, down from Bt34.6 million over the same quarter last year, due to higher content expenses.
Despite the current unfavourable economic situation, NMG could still keep growing its revenue.
While the picture for the digital TV broadcasting industry is not as bright as expected, the business is still key to NMG's future, since it is new revenue stream.
The group's publishing business is still strong.
Both TV broadcasting and print media are mainstays that have sustained NMG's development, she added.
