In summary, this investigation reported that the presence of diverse resistant bacteria in extended porcine semen is likely to be the result of a series of suboptimal-to-poor sanitary conditions in boar semen production. Finally, the present observations emphasize the need for an external hygiene audit in AI boar studs and the implementation of training that enables the laboratory staff to monitor HCCP in routine semen production. Regular-interval protocols on sanitary standards are necessary to improve staff competency and compliance with hygiene measures
