Need some ideas for the formula for Berkley Camo,I have come close but, still not exact.
I looked at the Berkley site and a close up of Camo and it is sort of random.
I'd make a heavy green pumpkin to start and tone it upwards with green watermelon until you had what you want, then add green and gold .015 glitter to taste. In the bait the glitter isn't profuse.
That belly color looks like a fl. orange to start, then add some brown in tiny amounts to pull the color down a ways. Gold glitter to taste there.
The problem with color matching off a computer is that no two monitors will show the same color while looking at the same picture.
Go to www.purefishing.com and then click on soft baits. On the left side you'll find a "sort by" menu. Click color to get the drop down and scroll down until you find camo, then click it. You get a page with baits that have camo in their color selections. Put the cursor on the bait and you'll get the blow-up so you can study it. Look at the larger of the six baits to get your best read on the color.
