The wrinkle recovery test with AATCC 3-D replicas33
and the CRA36 are commonly used methods for testing
the wrinkle recovery of a fabric. Neither is suitable for
characterizing finishing agents in spray form. In the
case of the AATCC 128 method, much experience is
required for objective and precise results, and subjective
influences are hard to exclude. Improved analytical
approaches appeared necessary to scan textile samples
more reliably and to more precisely measure small
increments of wrinkle recovery before and after spraying
at specified times.
