Th e virtual manipulative includes instructions and sliders so that students can select three
vertices on the cube. Th ey can rotate, turn, and zoom-in and zoom-out of the cube with mouse
clicks. Additionally, the virtual manipulative allows students to recognize that one triangle can
be named in six diff erent ways. To be specifi c, when three vertices are selected in diff erent
orders, all selected vertices represent the same triangle and this triangle is shown with the same
color in the virtual manipulative (see Figures 4 and 5).
