Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997) also known as Teresa of Calcutta, MC,[3] was a Roman Catholic religious sister and missionary.[4] She was born in Skopje, Macedonia, then still in the Ottoman Empire, into a family of Kosovar Albanian ancestry.[5][6][7][8][9] After having lived in Macedonia for some eighteen years, she moved to Ireland and then to India, where she lived for most of her life.
