Establish cooperation with Sales and Operations Planning and Supply Chain Organization to manage BOM component availability for internal and external Manufacturers (forecast – netting – purchasing – warehousing) by minimizing risk of inventory write off.
Develop, implement and continuously enhance BOM component processes and tools to support agreed availability of Finished Goods at right quantity, quality, time and cost.
Analyze and control forecast accuracy and Manufacturer BOM component stock levels and purchasing pattern to evaluate risk of inventory adjustments or write off and to come up with timely corrective actions to minimize economic impact.
Pro-actively analyze database for risk assessments to show dependencies of BOM component criteria (replenishing times, costs per unit, # active SKU using BOM components, single/ multi sourcing, regular vs. 1 time requirement, needed safety stocks to balance forecast volatility).
Document processes, BOM component net requirement calculation and handling of leftover (dead stock) to ensure appropriate execution.
Support projects within Manufacturing Network Planning organization, e.g. implementation of planning software.
Work together with superior and peers in establishing new organizational unit “Manufacturing Network Planning” to guarantee smooth transition from current to new organizational set-up.
